In 10 Photos: Sea Cloud II at Kotor, Montenegro
In 2001, Sea Cloud Cruises of Hamburg, Germany took delivery of Sea Cloud II, a custom built cruise ship that doubles as a full functioning sailing barque. Measuring 3,849 gross tons, Sea Cloud II is
105.9 m (347.5 ft) long and has a beam of 16.0 m (52.6 ft). When sailing she uses her 23 sails, but she can motor happily along at 13 knots, too. This is true luxury ship for a maximum of 96 passengers that are
being taken care of by 63 crew. Sea Cloud II divides her time between the Mediterranean and Caribbean. I photographed the ship in Kotor on October 8, 2011 from the open decks of Oceania Cruises' Marina.
