ShipParade - exclusive cruise ship photos reviews and stories about ports of call and cruise experiences
September 24, 2016 - An unseasonally beautiful autumn day saw me grab my camera, hop in my car and drive to the North Sea Canal to photograph the 137,936 ton MSC Splendida as she made her way from Amsterdam to the open sea. She looked radiant and positively huge. Only a few days after I took these photos, MSC Cruises announced that they will employ MSC Splendida in China from May, 2018. She will join MSC Lirica on cruises geared for the Chinese market. Ahead of her voyage to Asia, MSC Splendida will undergo a major enhancement to customize it for her Chinese deployment.
