1974Reconfigured: 20,027 Gross Register Tons, maximum 650 passengers in 276 cabins
1991After the collapse of the Soviet Union Taras Shevchenko is handed over to the State of Ukraine
1995Sold to Blasco UK, reflagged to Monrovia, Liberia and rebuilt in Odessa
1997The vessel is sold to Ocean Agencies. Taras Shevchenko continues cruise service for various (mostly European) tour operators
1998Taras Shevchenko is arrested in Piraeus due to Ocean Agencies' financial problems. She is laid up for five years
2003Back in service for Ukranian operators Antartika JSC but the venture is not successful
